Everything about Events

You might be wondering what server you should get to play with your friends or host a few events. Choosing a server might seem hard, but it’s very easy if you just use our guide below.

How many players are gonna play on your server?

This is an important question because the more players are gonna play on your server, the more data it will need to handle.

  • We advise you to never get a server with less than 4GB of RAM
  • 4GB RAM is good up to 10 players
  • 8GB is good up to 30 players
  • 12GB and higher is good for 100 players

What if I want mods are plugins on my server?

Mods and heavy plugins can have a significant impact on your server performance. Therefore you should make sure before you buy a server if your server host has the proper hardware to run the server.

  • We advise to have at least an Intel i7 core or AMD Ryzen 7 core (or something similar) for a modded server or a server with lots of plugins.
  • We advise to add 2GB of RAM if you are using mods or a lot of plugins on your server
    • Modded Server up to 10 players > 6GB RAM > AMD Ryzen 7 core
    • Modded Server up to 30 players > 10GB RAM > AMD Ryzen 7 core
    • Modded Server for 100 players > 16 GB RAM > AMD Ryzen 9 core

What server do I need for 100 player events? It’s what many people are wondering these days. We’ll try to advise you the best we can. For those not familiar with Minecraft Servers it seems almost impossible to have 100 players on the same server. But it’s really not that difficult if you have the right server. Many Server Hosts run with outdated hardware and prevent you from getting the most out of your server.

  • To run a server with 100 players we advise at least
    • RAM: 12 GB – DDR4 or similar or higher
    • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 Core/Intel i7 Core or similar or higher
  • If you intend to use mods or a lot of plugins, you might want to increase the RAM

Curious what servers we use? PhytorMC uses the same hosting services for all our servers, Phytor Events, Phytor’s Legacy, Phytor Creation, Mindofneo Events and even our build servers run at Wepwawet Hosting.

Phytor Events runs 100 Player Events on the Extreme Iron Golem server at Wepwawet Hosting.

  • RAM: 16 GB – DDR5  ECC
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 Core
  • Storage: Unmetered NVMe SSD (GEN4)

Without the proper plugins you can not run a server, let alone a good 100 player event. We will run down the most important plugins for your Minecraft Server!
