What is Nexo?
Nexo is a powerful Minecraft plugin that enables server owners to introduce highly customizable custom items, blocks, armor, and furniture into their game. It also manages resource pack generation, uploading, and dispatching to players, streamlining the process of adding custom content.
Nexo integrates seamlessly with other plugins like MythicMobs and ModelEngine, allowing for extensive customization and enhanced gameplay experiences.
What You Need Before Installing
- Minecraft Java Edition Server: Nexo is compatible with Paper and Folia server software versions 1.20.4 to 1.21.4.
- Access to Server Files: You’ll need the ability to upload files to your server, typically via FTP or a file manager provided by your hosting service.
- Resource Pack Support: To display custom models and textures, your server should support resource packs.
Step 1: Download And install Nexo

Step 2: Add your Downloaded files To NExo
This works with any preset Nexo file you find on this website and other websites.
- In the product you bought locate the Nexo folder. Zip the folder so you can transfer it easily.
- Simply drag the zipped Nexo folder into /plugins in your server.
- unzip or unarchive the folder and the files should automatically find their way to the correct lodation. To check this click on the Nexo folder on your server and check if the new files have been added to the folders.
- In game type
/nexo reload
and /nexo pack to apply the changes and reapply the Nexo resourcepack - The Nexo folder should look like this:

Step 3: Add External Resourcepacks to Nexo
⚠️ If you have typed /nexo reload
and your resourcepack is fully working you don’t have to do this step. This step explains how to add any other resourcepack to your existing resourcepack with ease.
- To add more resourcepacks your existing resourcepacks, simply drag the zipped pack into /Nexo/pack/external_packs.
- Do not remove the RequiredPack and DefaultPack.
- After adding the all the packs that your want simply reload Nexo and reapply the Nexo resourcepack by typing
/nexo reload
and /nexo pack in game

Step 4: Setup Nexo Config
- Navigate to
plugins/Nexo/
to find the configuration files. - Open the main configuration file (typically
settings.yml
